Ingredients for the traditional Gin Gimlet
- Author Gin Bull Terrier 2.5 Oz (7 cl)
- Natural lime juice 1/5 Oz (1.5 cl)
- Sugar syrup «Optional» ½ Oz (1.5 cl)
- Ice to cool down the shaker and our martini glass
We cool down our shaker with ice, stirring it with a cocktail spoon until it is very cold, we discard the water. We cool our martini glass in the same way and leave it with ice until it is time to add our mix. We add 2.5 Oz of Tropical Gin (7 cl) to our shaker and then 1/5 Oz of orange juice (1.5 cl) of freshly squeezed natural orange juice. We have chosen NOT to add the sugar syrup to the mix since the result seems fresher and more natural. In any case, it was originally made without sugar syrup.
We shake vigorously for a few seconds to get our Gin Gimlet as cold as possible,. When the mixture is well cold, we pour the liquid into our cocktail glass, removing first the ice that has been cooling the glass. We can decorate and perfume with an orange twist or not, depending on how we like it.
And that´s it!!
